How to Achieve your Goals?

  To help you achieve goals in NLP way, we have to engage our unconscious mind. If we'll be able to program our unconscious part of the mind toward success, it will change the behavior that will bring us to where we want to go. This is different in usual goal setting because no matter how careful we are in crafting our plans, the unconscious part of our mind can get in our way of achieving our goals if not properly trained. First of all, we have to understand that our unconscious mind doesn't accept negative instruction. So, to influence our minds, we have to state our goals in a positive way. So, as an example, instead of saying I don't want to pay rent anymore, you can say that I want to buy my own house. The second is that we have to be specific with our goals. The more specific our instruction at our unconscious mind, the more specific our mind in getting results. Going back to our example, you can be more specific by saying that you want a big house with three bedroo...

Towards and Away From Motivation

Do you tend to procrastinate? Have you asked yourself why? Motivation causes us to move from one state to another. That means we want to progress from the present state to the ideal future state. To bridge the gap in-between those states requires action. However, not all ideal future states were realized. You might experience that as you progress toward that future state, which is your goal, you began to procrastinate. The problem lies in what motivates us. There are two kinds of motivation. The first one is called away from motivation. To understand this, think of an emergency situation where you have to respond immediately. Surely, you will move really fast because it is an emergency. That is the away motivation. There is an idea in your mind, that propels you to action. It will make us move really fast.
